The wines selected for the essenze Regional Range embrace the contemporary uniqueness and quality of winemaking in New Zealand's South Island. Featuring the most popular varietals from New Zealand, the essenze Regional Range has been crafted by Corey Ryan, a winemaker with an innate knowledge and sense of the New Zealand terroir. Premium parcels of fruit have been carefully selected, gently handpicked and slowly blended to develop varietals that will be regarded as benchmarks for their regions.

Sauvignon Blanc and the Marlborough region of New Zealand's South Island have a 30 year love affair warmed by plentiful, soft sunshine that nurtures a long, slow ripening period. Combine this with deep layers of free-draining shingle and the resultant wine is exquisite to taste.

Four hours south of Marlborough, the Waipara region of New Zealand's South Island has been quietly building a reputation for pristine, aromatic Pinot Gris. Located at the foot of the Southern Alps, vineyards grow in gravel, limestone and clay loams, creating a pearlescent colour in the wine and delivering gentle pear and almond flavours.

From the southern tip of New Zealand, Central Otago has emerged as the world's southernmost wine region and a rising star of exceptional, world renowned Pinot Noir. Within challenging conditions and a dramatic landscape the key to this success is fruit grown on carefully selected vineyard sites along ancient mountainous slopes and valleys. Our wine is made from blending individual parcels giving this Pinot Noir a wider flavour profile of intense fruit and divine structural acid balance.
